"Transformation isn't a technology challenge. It's a human one."
Diane Echols is an organizational transformation leader, speaker, and founder of the Althea Vision Institute, where she helps leaders and organizations navigate change with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
With more than two decades leading enterprise transformation, she's learned that lasting change comes from aligning strategy, culture, and people — not just process. Her work spans organizational transformation, leadership development, change adoption, and the evolving relationship between people and emerging technology.
While most organizations focus on systems and structure, Diane focuses on the people responsible for making those systems succeed. Self-awareness, intentional leadership, guiding principles, consistent habits, purposeful action — in that order, sustainable change becomes possible. That belief became the ALTHEA™ Framework: a practical model for moving from awareness to meaningful action, built for individuals and the cultures they shape.
Her mission: help people see change differently, so they can lead it intentionally.
The Althea Vision Institute is named in honor of my grandmother, Royal Althea Fields, whose influence shaped not only who I became, but how I learned to navigate change throughout my life.
With only an eighth-grade education, she came to America as a domestic worker, yet she possessed a remarkable understanding of people, purpose, and personal growth. She saw potential in me long before I could see it in myself and spoke to me as though I were already the woman I was becoming.
More importantly, she gave me something I would rely on for the rest of my life: a repeatable process for navigating transformation.
She taught me how to become aware before reacting, how to lead myself before trying to lead others, how to anchor my decisions in enduring principles, how to build habits that supported the future I wanted, and how to take purposeful action — even when the path ahead was uncertain.
That way of thinking became the foundation I used to overcome life's challenges, embrace reinvention, and see transformation not as something to fear, but as a natural and necessary part of growth.
Years later, I realized the principles she had poured into me formed a framework that could help others navigate change with the same clarity and confidence. Today, that framework lives on through the Althea Vision Institute.
Her vision became my foundation. Today, it is the vision I am honored to share with others.
"Organizations don't transform. People do."
